MTV Guy: Pen and Ink

I often have my sketchbook open when I watch TV. In this case, I was watching some MTV program and this one guy with a big nose and slumpy posture caught my attention. Fountain pen and ink, moleskine sketchbook.

You captured his posture (or lack of it) so well. Very good drawing.

Nicely observed, you have really captured the essential character very well. The use of a fountain pen plays to your strengths...a loose but also controlled technique, that whole Paul Klee "taking a line for a walk" when you sketch. I cannot bring myself to work in moleskins, wonderful as they are, because it stays my hand too much... so more power to you for having the gumption :) PS. many thanks for your flattering comment on my blog. I love Mary Blair's work, so you cheered me up know end, thank you!
